Update: Home learning and free school meals

Dear parents and carers

Home learning

Children were sent home with work packs last week.

We have also created home learning sections on all of our websites.

The links are below but you can also find them by clicking on the Home Learning banners on the front page of all our websites.

The Primary schools will be using ‘DB Primary’ as their main learning resource. Logins were issued to the children.

Our secondary school will be using ‘One Drive’ as its main learning resource. No logins required.

Please bear with us. This is just to get us started.

Our promise to you is that we will do everything we can to make home learning a success. But it will take time to get something that works for most families.

We have established an email to help with queries [email protected]

Free school meals

The government has been working with local authorities, supermarkets and schools to try to come up with a swift solution.

We will be issuing supermarket vouchers to parents that are eligible for free school meals.

We will provide detailed information tomorrow.

If you cannot wait for the vouchers to arrive you can receive a free school meal (packed lunch) on Monday and Tuesday from Heron Hall Academy between 12pm – 1pm.

We will be keeping in close touch with our families, so please stay in contact with us. The top menu on all our websites has a ‘Contact’ section and gives details about how you can follow us on your preferred social media.

Please take care. Follow government advice about staying indoors and maintaining social distancing if you need to go out.

Best wishes
