Knitting and Crochet Club Fun!

A popular new group for parents started this week.

Parents from Cuckoo and Kingfisher enjoyed their first time in Knitting and Crochet Club.

Crochet and knitting brings parents together to learn or develop existing skills. The two crafts are methods of looping yarn together.

Knitting uses a pair of long needles to form the loops, moving a set of loops from one needle to another. Crochet uses a single hook, to hook the loops together directly on the piece.

Parents made a range of items this week, including bags and items of clothing.

The groups are also a great way to practice speaking English and to make new friends.

This is another initiative from the Community Outreach team.
