Pupil Parliament welcomes PDA Society CEO
As part of our Force for Positive Change campaign, we welcomed Ed Archer, CEO of the PDA Society, to speak with our Primary Pupil Parliament and Years 3–6.
PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) is a profile within the autistic spectrum, where everyday demands can feel overwhelming. During a powerful demonstration, one pupil walked freely while another carried a large stack of books. Both were asked to move as quickly as they could — but the books represented how everyday expectations and demands can build up, making simple tasks feel much harder.
Our pupils asked thoughtful questions and gained a deeper understanding of an important cause.
