An outstanding year for the children!

Dear Parent/Carer,

As the CEO of the Trust that manages your school, I wanted to write to all our parents to mark and celebrate what has been a very successful year.

Schools are such busy places that they sometimes don’t pause to recognise - or celebrate - just how much they’re achieving.

This year has been an incredibly successful one for Kingfisher Hall Academy - for Headteacher Gemma Vincent, her team, and, above all, the children.

Outstanding results

Our children have achieved excellent SATs results again this year.

The provisional results showed that the national average for schools was 62%, whereas Kingfisher’s provisional results were 78%.

This is well above the national figure and reflects the outstanding nature of the teaching and the learning.

These outcomes are not only the result of hard work in Year 6, but also the strong teaching and learning that is embedded across all year groups.

What Ofsted says about the school

Ofsted has judged Kingfisher Hall Academy to be ‘Good’ in all areas, with ‘Outstanding for pupils’ personal development.

I was delighted to see inspectors describe the school as “a happy and welcoming place,” driven by a vision for children to “develop their talents and characteristics to flourish as individuals.”

They also reported that children “love talking about their learning and how much they enjoy their lessons,” and that they are “happy and safe.”

A fantastic year

Beyond academic results, it has been a very memorable year full of achievements and experiences.

The school has enjoyed successes in sport, impressive art and drama performances, and events like cultural day that bring everyone together.

During my visits, I’ve seen first hand how much the children enjoy reading and learning - a love that sits at the heart of life at Kingfisher Hall.

Thank you

I’d also like to thank you for the strong partnership we share with parents and carers.

Your involvement and support shape not only the daily life of the school but your children’s learning beyond the classroom.

A special thank you to all who volunteer their time - it truly makes a difference.

I’m very proud of what Kingfisher Hall Academy has achieved this year and look forward to even more success ahead.

Many of our Year 6 children and families will be staying with us as they go to our excellent secondary school, Heron Hall Academy.

Thank you for being such an important part of this school community.

Yours faithfully,
