Exploring the wonders of science at Heron Hall
Year 5s had a fantastic Science Day at the Trust's secondary school, Heron Hall Academy. They engaged in hands-on Biology activities, where they conducted experiments with different foods to learn about the presence of proteins, fats & starches. In their Chemistry lessons, they explored the fascinating world of acids & bases and learned about how these substances can neutralise each other. During Physics, they had a fun and educational experience studying aerodynamics by experimenting with paper planes to understand how they fly. Taster days are a great way to prepare children for secondary school.
