A great year of success

Dear families,

A year of success for your children

As we have reached the end of another very impressive academic year, I am delighted to say that there have been many fantastic achievements and successes across the schools in the North Star Community Trust family. It has certainly been a year filled with dedication, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Our Trust now provides an ‘all through education’ for your children, from 2 to 18 years of age, as our pupils and students continue to build on their success with us through each stage of their education. This is increasingly reflected in academic achievement in all our schools with very good exam results. At Heron Hall Academy, our secondary school, the progress students make from when they join us until they leave is also now in the top 10% of the entire country.

Top exam results

I am especially proud as CEO of the Trust that our primary schools all achieved excellent results in their recent SATs tests. Nationally, 59% of pupils met the government’s expected standard in reading, writing and maths combined.  I am delighted to be able to tell you that we did very much better than this.  Enfield Heights Academy achieved 71%, Kingfisher Hall Academy 71% and Woodpecker Hall Academy 70%. We are so proud of the children and our teachers for this level of success.

GCSE results in August

I look forward to sharing more good news soon, as we anticipate very good results for our secondary school students in their upcoming GCSE examinations at Heron Hall Academy.

Cultural and sporting success

Beyond the academic realm, we have witnessed exceptional achievements in sports, arts, and cultural activities. Our children have shown outstanding talent and determination, securing many accolades and awards in various competitions and events.

Celebrating our diversity

One of our greatest strengths at North Star Community Trust lies in the rich diversity of cultures that are celebrated and embraced within our school community. Together, we learn from each other and broaden our perspectives. This inclusivity and respect for different cultures contribute significantly to the unique and nurturing environment we strive to create.

Working together makes a real difference

The collective efforts of our pupils, students, teachers, and families are truly making a difference.  As we reflect on the year that has passed, we can undoubtedly say that it has been a year of great achievements. None of this would have been possible without the support and partnership of our families. Your engagement, encouragement, and involvement have truly made a positive impact on our success, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude for being an essential part of the educational journey.

So, let us look forward to the future with excitement and optimism. There will be plenty of challenges but as we continue to work together, I am confident that we will achieve even greater heights of success and continue to foster a learning environment that empowers our children to be compassionate, confident, and capable individuals.

Thank you once again for your unwavering support and dedication. I wish you all a wonderful summer break filled with joy, relaxation, and precious moments with your loved ones.
