Year 6 children organise Enterprise Day to raise money for end-of-year production.

This week saw the Year 6 children become young entrepreneurs for Enterprise Day, by running their own summer fete stalls. The children managed all the logistics of the day from designing the banners, coming up with costs for each stall, and searching for items that were the best value for money.

There were many stalls available from hook a duck, face painting, guess the weight of the cake that was kindly donated by a parent, biscuit decorating, bowling and Higher or Lower.  The purpose of Enterprise Day is for Year 6 to learn about all things business-related looking at income and expenditure and budgeting.

The children and staff that attended were impressed with the level of professionalism the youngsters displayed whilst managing the stalls.

Well done to the Year 6 children for thinking of innovative ways to raise money for their end-of-year production, which is the Wizard of Oz. The money raised will go towards funding the overall production.
