Year 3 enjoy birds of prey workshop

This term year 3 has been learning about birds of prey. In their science lessons, they have been studying owls in detail.

Birds of prey, also known as raptors, include birds like eagles, hawks, vultures, and owls that primarily hunt and feed on vertebrates. Some examples of vertebrates that are hunted by these birds include reptiles, insects, fish, and mammals,

To further year 3’s understanding of this topic, the school arranged a special birds of prey workshop.

In this workshop, pupils got to see some of the animals they have been learning about in class. They saw three owls, two falcons, and a hawk.

Seeing these birds was an amazing experience for the children. They really enjoyed holding them and watching them closely
