Record numbers flock to Heron Open Evening

Record numbers visited the school on a wonderful evening on Monday.

Around 500 family members and young people attended.

The increasing popularity and growing reputation of Heron Hall Academy was clear to see as headteacher Arthur Barzey and his team opened the doors to the school at 5.30pm, with long queues already forming.

40 student ambassadors were on hand to take parents and their families on tours through the school.

Two presentations were held in the main hall and parents were given the chance to quiz the senior leadership team.

Headteacher Arthur Barzey said:

"With great GCSE exam results, a first-class teaching team and some of the very best educational and sporting facilities in the borough, I hope we showed parents why we believe they should make us their first choice for the next stage of their child's education journey."

See the school in action

Don't worry if you were not able to come on Monday. We would be delighted to welcome you to one of our very popular ‘See the school in action’ Open Mornings.

These tours will run 1-5 October (Monday to Friday) at 9.15am for around 45 minutes.

Headteacher Arthur Barzey will then meet parents and can answer any additional questions about the school and any aspect of teaching and learning.

There is no need to book.
