Come to Our Free Stay and Play
We have created Ducklings, a new free Stay and Play group for local families with children aged 2 to 3.
These friendly Friday morning sessions give young children the chance to play, explore and begin getting used to a school setting in a gentle and relaxed way. Parents and carers stay with their child, meet other local families and get to know Kingfisher Hall Academy. It is also a lovely opportunity for parents and carers to get out of the house, meet other local families and feel part of a friendly school community.
Ducklings is completely free and includes age-appropriate play activities in a safe and welcoming school environment. Light refreshments are also provided for children during the session.
The first Ducklings session will take place on Friday 25 September 2026. Ducklings will then run on Friday mornings from 9:20am to 10:15am.
Places are limited to 15 children per session, so families need to book in advance. Please see the booking information below for details of how to request a free place.

What to Expect
At our free Stay and Play sessions, children will be able to:
- Enjoy toys, games and early play activities
- Spend time with other young children
- Begin getting used to a school environment
- Build confidence in a friendly setting
- Enjoy light refreshments
Parents and carers stay with their child throughout the session.
