A Strong Trust With a Shared Purpose
North Star Community Trust is made up of Woodpecker Hall Academy, Kingfisher Hall Academy, Enfield Heights Academy, and Heron Hall Academy and Sixth Form.
We were named Multi Academy Trust of the Year for 2024–25, reflecting the strength of our work across our schools and communities.
Our vision is to help as many children as possible to succeed at school and in life.
Our mission is to work within disadvantaged communities to make a real and lasting difference, giving children the very best chances to succeed both academically and socially.
Our strategy for 2025–2028 sets out our priorities for the years ahead, focusing on sustainable growth, inclusion and strengthening support for our communities.

Our work is underpinned by five key areas:
- High-quality teaching and strong outcomes for all pupils
- Schools rooted in their communities
- A strong focus on staff development and wellbeing
- Investment in leadership at all levels
- A sustainable and well-governed organisation
We believe we are stronger together – as schools, staff, students and families. Each school retains its own identity while benefiting from shared expertise, resources and values.
We summarise our purpose in three words: Education, Community and Opportunity.
Education means every child receives an excellent education.
Community means every child is supported to contribute positively to the world around them.
Opportunity means every child has access to experiences that help them grow into confident, well-rounded individuals.
Professional Development and Progression
We invest in our staff at every stage of their careers. From early career support through to leadership development, we provide structured opportunities to grow and take on new responsibilities. This includes leadership training at all levels and access to the Trust CEO’s Aspiring Leaders Programme, alongside ongoing professional development across our schools.
Opportunities Across the Trust
We employ staff in a wide range of roles, including teaching, learning support, administration, finance and site services. Working across a Trust means there are opportunities to develop your career in different settings, while remaining part of a consistent and supportive organisation.
