Home-School Agreement

When a child joins a school in the North Star Community Trust, parents, carers and pupils agree to follow the school’s rules, policies and expectations. The Home–School Agreement explains how we work together to support every child’s learning and wellbeing.

The agreement sets out what the school will do to support pupils, including providing high-quality teaching, maintaining a safe and respectful environment, and helping children develop good behaviour and positive attitudes to learning.

It also explains how parents and carers can support their child by encouraging good attendance, supporting learning at home and working with the school when help or guidance is needed.

Pupils are also expected to take responsibility for their behaviour, show respect to others and try their best in their learning.

When schools and families work together, children feel supported and confident.
