Get Involved in School Life
Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a friendly group of parents, carers and staff who support the school and create opportunities for children.
Everyone is welcome, and there are many ways to take part. You can help at events, share ideas or support in small ways that suit you.
The PTA brings families together and supports the school in practical ways. By taking part, you can meet other parents, support your child’s school and help create positive experiences for children.
You do not need any special experience, and there is no pressure to give a lot of time. Many parents start by helping at one event or by contacting the school office to find out more.
Being part of the PTA is a simple way to feel connected to the school and make a difference.
What the PTA Does
The PTA organises events during the year to bring families together.
These may include:
- school fairs and celebrations
- fundraising events
- activities for children and families
Money raised helps provide extra resources and experiences for children.
Funds have also been raised to buy more equipment for the children to use at lunchtimes, some golfing PE equipment and reading books for the Reading vending machine.
What Parents Say
“I started by helping at one event and it was a great way to meet other parents. Everyone was friendly and welcoming.”
“I don’t have a lot of time but even helping once or twice a year makes me feel part of the school.”
“It’s a nice way to get to know the school better and support the children at the same time.”
